🍚 Must-Visit Restaurants for Friends Visiting Vancouver

Having friends visit from afar? So exciting 😆✨ Especially since Vancouver summers are gorgeous—perfect for hosting! I always keep a go-to list of spots, and here are my top picks for when friends come to town. Feel free to share your recommendations in the comments—let’s exchange ideas! 🗣️💬 🍲 New Yong Ji I used to recommend their congee hot pot, but recently tried their Chaoshan beef hot pot on a Thursday—and was told it’s now available on weekdays! 🎉 It’s like they’ve fully embraced the Chaoshan style. The beef is incredibly fresh—we had diao long, san hua zhi, and my personal favorite: ngau kap (beef cartilage fat) 🤤 Just dip till it changes color and enjoy that tenderness. A must-try for both congee and beef lovers! 🌶️ Cang Ying Guan Zi My recent obsession! Since another Szechuan spot went downhill, this is now my go-to. Great environment, great value, and their ice jelly is loaded with toppings—perfect for summer 🍧 Every dish tastes authentic… takes you right back to China. 🇻🇳 Linh Cafe An all-time fave 🥖🍷 They’ve been consistently great for five years—even through their move and expansion. Surprisingly, their prices have actually gone DOWN while everyone else is raising them 😱 My friends always love it here. Highlights: the massive 14oz steak, foie gras on crispy brioche, and spicy bone marrow pho 🍜 🍣 Raisu Okay my partner isn’t fully on board, but I think Raisu is perfect for tourists! It’s photogenic, has great vibe, fresh ingredients, and is ideal for a drink or two 🍶 A safe and satisfying choice. 🍗 Mui Garden A popular spot! Even under new ownership, the taste hasn’t changed. I still love their chicken pot, soups, and lobster rice 🦞 A friend from the U.S. still dreams about that lobster rice—it’s that good! A unique must-try in Richmond’s competitive food scene. This is my updated personal fav list—these places really resonate with my taste 😋 Hope it helps you treat your friends to an amazing food journey! Wishing everyone happy eats and great memories 🥰👏 #VancouverFoodGuide #VisitVancouver #VancouverEats #FoodieAdventure #TravelAndEat #VancouverMustTry #FoodRecs #CantoneseEats #AsianFlavors 🍽️🌟
