Must-Visit Spots Around Madrid
El Escorial Monastery Recommended by a local Spanish colleague, it's said to be a place worth visiting every year. It's truly magnificent, encompassing a monastery, royal palace, church, library, and royal pantheon, among other things. The most spectacular parts are the royal tombs and the various fresco-lined corridors. Art enthusiasts, religious scholars, and royal history buffs should definitely not miss it. Restaurant: Parrilla Pr铆ncipe I found a restaurant not far from the monastery with decent reviews. The food is good; the Spanish gazpacho, meatballs, and octopus are all tasty, and the shrimp omelette at the end is delicious. Additionally, you can order Sangria; this restaurant has its own unique flavor, which is quite nice. Transportation: You can take bus number 664 from the Moncloa bus station in Madrid, which takes about an hour to get there directly. The fare is 4.2 euros per person, so be sure to have small change ready. #LifeInMadrid #ThingsToDoInMadrid #MadridAreaRecommendations #MadridDayTrip
