🌟 Must-Visit Spots in & Around Hannover, Germany
Since some friends asked about attractions near Hannover, and having lived here for almost three years, I’ve put together a chill and relaxing guide — perfect for a laid-back stroll or a sunny day out 😊 Last year, during the IAA exhibition, I walked with friends from the City Hall to Maschsee. Chatting, strolling, and soaking up the sun — it was the perfect lazy day vibe! 1️⃣ New City Hall (Neues Rathaus) A great place for a walk, some sun, and photos — especially catching the reflection of the building on the water! 📸🌿 2️⃣ Herrenhausen Gardens (Herrenhäuser Gärten) This Baroque-style garden has an entrance fee of €6. I’ve been meaning to go but… let’s just say I never made it inside 😂 So sadly, no photos to share this time! 3️⃣ Maschsee Lake An artificial lake right in the city center — perfect for a walk, jog, or even renting a paddleboat or kayak. Whenever the sun’s out, the place gets lively! 🏃♂️🦢☀️ Around Hannover 4️⃣ Designer Outlets Wolfsburg The first city-center outlet mall in Germany! You’ll find light luxury brands like Longchamp, Coach, and Calvin Klein. Fun story: I impulse-shopped here five years ago and pretty much got rid of everything since then 🛍️😅 📍Address: An der Vorburg 1, 38440 Wolfsburg, Germany 🕒Opening Hours: Mon–Sat 10:00–20:00 5️⃣ AutoMuseum Volkswagen 🚗 Features over 130 classic Volkswagen models — from the early Beetles to modern concept cars.
