My Loup in Philly – A Delightful French Surprise 🍽️✨

Just wanted to use up my CSR dining credit, but ended up discovering My Loup, a modern French spot that completely exceeded expectations! ☺️ Location: About a 10-minute walk from City Hall. Street parking requires some luck, but you might find a spot! The menu changes seasonally—some dishes I saw online were already gone, but what we ordered turned out to be delightfully surprising with no disappointments. Raw: 🦪 Razor Clam with sunchoke & quinoa – Savory and umami-rich, topped with crispy quinoa for wonderful texture and layers. Our favorite dish of the night! Appetizer: 🐌 Green Garlic Escar-roll – Escargot + bread roll. The snails were incredibly tender (no chewiness stereotype here!). The roll was fluffy yet sturdy, edges golden and crisp, served with green garlic sauce and grated cheese—so satisfying and filling. Main Courses: 🍗 Roast Chicken – Served with a foie-gras-style sauce and roasted mushrooms. Crispy skin, juicy meat, coated in a rich, mouth-coating sauce. So good we almost forgot there was another main coming 😂. 🦆 Sausage-Stuffed Quail – More straightforward in texture and doneness, but the seasoning was fascinating—flavors shifted from tangy olives to sweet plums, creating a gradient of taste in every bite. Portions were generous—three of us left very full 😌. With raw bar items or wine, the per-person cost could go up, but normally ~$60 per person is totally doable—a wallet-friendly yet elegant French find. #Food #FrenchCuisine #RomanticRestaurant #Philly #PhillyFood #ModernFrench #HiddenGem
