My New Favorite Visa-Free Middle Eastern Country! 🇴🇲
I adore Oman! Originally just a layover in Muscat, but what a wonderful surprise! 💕 Everyone I know who’s been here agrees—the people are incredibly kind. Rich yet humble and friendly—who wouldn’t love that? ✨ Muscat One-Day Itinerary 📍 Mutrah Fort Must-visit! 🎫 3 OMR (~¥54) Climb this seaside fortress for breathtaking views of the S-shaped bay. There’s even a café inside—sip coffee with no crowds in sight! 📍 Mutrah Souq Stroll the coastal promenade below the fort, then explore the lively market. 📍 Al Alam Palace The Sultan’s opulent palace (exterior only—closed to visitors). Opposite is the National Museum. 📍 Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque The world’s 2nd-largest mosque—we only saw the outside. Note: Open Mon-Thu 8-11 AM. Between downtown and the airport. 🏨 Hotel 📍 Haffa House Muscat Great location near Ruwi Bus Station (airport bus terminal). 🚖 Transport Visa-free entry was seamless. Airport bus A1 to Ruwi: 0.5 OMR (~¥9). Taxis are super friendly—paid 1-2 USD when I ran out of rials! My driver even detoured to drop me at the airport for almost nothing. Omanis exude next-level chill—it’s like money’s an afterthought. 🥹 Final Thoughts Many places are wealthy, but few are this welcoming. Muscat isn’t a tourist hotspot, but my layover turned into a perfect day. #TravelDiaries #Oman #HiddenGems #SlowTravel
