My Solo Dining Adventure in Vancouver: Toyokan Bowl 🍣✨

Today was my perfect "me-time" day - shopping therapy followed by my favorite seafood don at Toyokan Bowl! 🛍️🍱 About the Restaurant Toyokan Bowl is the newest sibling of Kingyo and Suika (opened October 2022), specializing in premium seafood bowls. Their star ingredient? Uni flown directly from Tokyo's famous Tsukiji Market! 🎌✈️ What I Ordered They currently have seasonal specials, but since I'm not the biggest uni fan, I went with the Imperial Sea Chest - a true work of art! 🎨 This magnificent bowl featured: • Uni (for those who love it) • 3 types of tuna • Sea bream • Salmon • Spot prawn • Scallop • Snow crab • Eel • Fish roe Every slice of fish was incredibly fresh - an absolute flavor explosion! 🤯 Most tables had two people sharing one bowl (it's that generous), but I got reduced rice and finished the whole thing myself. The sushi rice underneath was perfectly seasoned - delicious even on its own! Pro Tip This place is POPULAR! No reservations accepted. During my entire lunch, there was a constant line down the narrow, steep stairs. But trust me - the wait is 100% worth it for this quality! ⏳❤️ 📍 Toyokan Bowl 1898 W 1st Ave, Vancouver #VancouverLife #JapaneseCuisine #VancouverEats #RestaurantRecs #FoodieVancouver #InstagrammableFood #VancouverDining #VancouverSushi
