My stomach is still going through withdrawal
Restaurant Guide 📝 Around 50 RMB per person🥝 1️⃣ Good People Good Food Good Price The top pick of this Luang Prabang trip ☝🏻 Highly recommend the fried spring rolls – the best I’ve ever had in my life.😁 The dipping sauce is amazing; it would even make a shoe sole taste good.🍚 The environment is quite down-to-earth, though – no air conditioning, so it gets pretty hot.🥞 2️⃣ Le Banneton Cafe French Bakery The French café featured in Go! Sisters. Their most popular item is croissants. I ordered a chocolate croissant, but the chocolate filling was pitifully small, and the crust wasn’t crispy at all...🥩 Still, it’s nice to pop in for a coffee if you’re tired from exploring~🍐 The staff kindly provided a Chinese menu too. 3️⃣ Mekong Sunset View Restaurant😍 A riverside restaurant. Dining here at sunset with the evening breeze is really chill ~🍄 🍺Definitely order their fish sour soup (can’t remember the exact name) – it’s super refreshing and full of umami. The spring rolls and fried vermicelli were just so-so. 4️⃣ Bamboo Garden Restaurant🍎 A bit hard to find (but Google Maps always gets you there!) Highly recommend the fish soup and rice bowls! Even the vegetables in the rice bowls are fresh and tender.🍚 There are lots of rice bowl options – you can’t go wrong with any.🍣 Make sure to add a soft-boiled egg topping! 5️⃣ Lao Hot Pot Can’t remember the name, but it’s right across from MyBanLao Hotel.🍇 The flavor was just okay – the beef was tough and hard to chew. But the dipping sauce was amazing, slightly sweet – we managed to finish the meal thanks to it. Still, it’s worth trying Lao hot pot for the experience 🍲 Snack Guide 📝 1️⃣ Gelato A double scoop was only around 20 RMB! Lots of flavors to choose from – highly 🎂recommend the yogurt flavor, which is smooth and creamy 👍🏼 2️⃣ Ice Cream Rolls There’s one at the night market and another on a street popular with foreigners – both are delicious. Recommend adding Oreos – any flavor + Oreos works great.🍩🍩 3️⃣ MOMIZU Milk Tea 🍵🍵 I ordered the basic pearl milk tea, and it was really good ~ Rich milk flavor, you can tell they use fresh milk. 4️⃣ Unknown Name (near the gelato shop) Stopped by randomly and forgot to note the name – does anyone know? 😭 The coconut ice cream was amazing, full of coconut flavor. You can add pandan sticky rice (still warm), which pairs perfectly with the ice cream 😭 5️⃣ Coconut Cake & Coconut Biscuits🥐 Only sold at daytime stalls along the night market streets. The coconut biscuits are fragrant, crispy, and full of coconut flavor 😋; the coconut cake is just okay, soft and moist.🥝 That’s about it! Overall, Luang Prabang suited my taste buds perfectly – great experience~🍺 The staff were all very friendly, always smiling ☺️ A sweet detail that touched me: many restaurants use local handmade tableware (coconut bowls, spoons...) which have a raw, natural beauty.🍚 Water glasses are often placed on local hand-embroidered coasters, simple yet exquisite. I really admire the locals’ love for life~ #LuangPrabang #LuangPrabangFood
