Nashville Day Trip - Part 2
This was my second weekend in the rural area for work, and since I was already here, I decided to explore the city again. Conclusion: Not as fun as the last time (see previous post ๐ ). Todayโs (Half-Day) Itinerary: State Capitol Frist Art Museum Hattie Bโs Hot Chicken The Gulch & 12th Avenue South Burger Republic 1. Tennessee State Capitol ๐๏ธ I read online that you could go inside with hourly tours, but it was closed when I arrived. Just walked around outside and left. 2. Frist Art Museum ๐จ $10 admission. Unless youโre really into art or the current exhibit, skip it! Not worth it for casual visitors. 3. Hattie Bโs Hot Chicken ๐ This place is super popular online. I went to the Broadway location โ waited almost 50 minutes. Ordered: Grilled sandwich (meh ๐) 1/4 leg (juicy and flavorful but a bit salty ๐ง) Verdict: Not mind-blowing. If you go, just get the chicken legs and avoid peak hours! 4. The Gulch & 12th Avenue South ๐จ๐ธ The โiconic wings muralโ is just a painted wallโฆ and there was a long line (mostly groups of girls โ I was the only guy there ๐). Not as impressive as I expected. 5. Burger Republic ๐ Decided to end the day with a classic American burger. This place was solid! Beef patty was high quality Bun was toasted perfectly Live music added great vibes ๐ถ Also tried a banana milkshake โ creamy and delicious ๐๐ฅค Final Thoughts: Iโve spent three weekends in Nashville now (was here last month too ๐). My recommendation: Day 1: Outlet shopping ๐๏ธ Day 2: Downtown museums + Broadway bars ๐ป Thatโs enough to experience the city! Alright, time to hit the gym after all that eating ๐ช๐ค #Nashville #TravelUSA #FoodReview #SoloTravel #WeekendTrip #HotChicken #BurgerLover #ArtMuseum #CityGuides ๐๏ธ๐๐ธ
