Nashville Day Trip

(More like a half-day trip 😅) Itinerary: Martin’s BBQ Joint → TN State Museum → The Parthenon → Vanderbilt University 1️⃣ Martin’s BBQ Joint 🍖 Tried this place based on tons of recommendations. The vibe is very Tennessee—they even sell T-shirts and BBQ sauces! We ordered the two-person combo (ribs + brisket). The portion was HUGE, but the taste was just okay. BBQ is worth trying, but don’t set your expectations too high. 2️⃣ Tennessee State Museum 🏛️ (Free!) This museum is incredibly well-designed. Outside, there’s a timeline pathway with pillars marking events from 10,000 BC (!) to modern times—each engraved with key historical moments. Inside, exhibits cover history, culture, and Tennessee’s eternal theme: music 🎵. Highly recommended! 3️⃣ The Parthenon 🏛️ Looks impressive from the outside, but it was closed for a private event when I visited 😑. Lots of people (especially groups) were still taking photos outside. 4️⃣ Vanderbilt University 🎓 Wanted to soak up some academic vibes, but the campus was pretty empty. Took a quick stroll and left. #Nashville #TravelDiary #BBQ #Museum #History #MusicCity #SoloTravel 🚗✨
