Near Philadelphia | Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom

I got a great deal on tickets for Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom and decided to visit before they expired. We grabbed lunch at the McDonald’s across from the park and then headed in. The park doesn’t check for outside food at security, so feel free to bring your own snacks 🍔🥤. Today, the park was relatively empty, so we barely had to wait in line for any of the rides. We started with the attractions closest to us, and the staff were all very friendly. 🎪 We headed over to Planet Snoopy, an area filled with rides suitable for younger kids. There’s a camp bus, spinning planes ✈️, a mini train, a flying trapeze, and over 20 other attractions. Characters make appearances throughout the day for photo ops 📸, and there’s even a Snoopy-themed gift shop. The park also features six roller coasters with varying levels of thrill. My eldest was brave enough to join me on two of them. Unfortunately, due to height restrictions, I had to ride the remaining ones alone. It was exhilarating, with lots of screaming and adrenaline! When we were done with the rides, we changed into our swimsuits and headed to the water park. There were plenty of lifeguards on duty at the wave pool and lazy river, so it felt very safe. Remember to wrap yourself in a towel after getting out of the water to avoid catching a cold. There are changing rooms and lockers nearby for convenience. 🩵 Inside the park, you can purchase an all-day drink refill for $20, with refills available every 15 minutes. 🩵 Parking is $30 per day. 🩵 Height restrictions are strictly enforced: younger kids generally need to be over 36 inches, while older kids need to be over 54 inches for some rides. 🩵 The water park has a dry-off machine for $6 if you want to quickly dry off. 🩵 Operating hours are from 10:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. 🩵 Compared to Sesame Place, I found Dorney Park to be more fun with a greater variety of attractions. 🩵 I recommend downloading the Groupon app for occasional discount offers.
