Nepal Museum recommendation
1β£οΈ Museum of Nepali Art π Thamel, Kathmandu Recommendation: ππππ Tucked away and exquisite, this private art gallery is a must-visit! For a 500 NPR entry fee, you can visit multiple times (I went twice), and it showcases traditional and modern Nepali paintings and other art pieces of high aesthetic value! 2β£οΈ Narayanhiti Palace Museum π King's Way, Kathmandu Recommendation: ππππ Highly, highly recommended! A must-see! This was once the residence of the Shah dynasty rulers, revealing the opulent and luxurious royal lifestyle. You can see Hitler's gift to King Tribhuvan, photos of royal family members with Queen Elizabeth and Chairman Jiang, and the bullet holes in the walls from the royal massacre are still clearly visible. 3β£οΈ Mahendra/Birendra/Tribhuvan Museum π Kathmandu Durbar Square Recommendation: ππ These three museums are located next to each other and can be visited while exploring the old royal palaces at Kathmandu Durbar Square. There aren't many exhibits, but it's worth a quick look. 4β£οΈ National Museum of Nepal π A bit off the beaten path, close to Swayambhunath Stupa Recommendation: ππ The location is quite remote and not very convenient. If you're here purely for tourism, it might not be worth the trip. Although the museum is large and has a few stunning pieces, some of the exhibits can be a bit confusing. 5β£οΈ Patan Museum π Patan Durbar Square Recommendation: ππππ This museum is truly impressive! It's conveniently located, so you can visit while exploring Patan Durbar Square. The construction is well-done, the collections are exquisite, and there's a handy guide booklet. In addition to indoor exhibitions, there are historical sites and a large garden, offering a beautiful surprise as you stroll through! #Museums #Nepal #NepalTravel #NepalTravelGuide# Narayanhiti Palace Museum#Kathmandu# Patan Museum#trip diary#travel guide
