Nepal Travel—A Guide to Pokhara, the Second Largest City

✨Phewa Lake The second largest lake in Nepal, Phewa Lake boasts crystal clear waters surrounded by green mountains. On a small island in the lake stands the Varahi Hindu Temple, a popular pilgrimage site for tourists. You can rent a small boat 🚢 to drift on the lake, admire the reflections of the 🏔️ mountains, and enjoy a moment of tranquility and the embrace of nature. 🌈Sarangkot Located five kilometers north of Pokhara city on a small hill, Sarangkot stands at an altitude of 1500 meters and is one of the best spots to enjoy the sunrise and sunset over the Himalayas. There are several viewpoints here for visitors to witness the majestic scenery of the snow-capped mountains at sunrise and sunset 🌅. On a clear day, you can see the Annapurna range towering in the distance. 🌟World Peace Pagoda In 2000, under the initiative of Japanese monk Nichidatsu Fujii, the World Peace Pagoda in Pokhara was funded by people from Japan, Thailand, Sri Lanka, and Nepal, with the Japanese Buddhist community being the main contributors. The pagoda, located on a ridge by Phewa Lake, is a white solid tower with a golden top and a Sri Lankan sapphire 💎 at the pinnacle. 🩷The four sides of the pagoda are adorned with statues representing the four stages of Buddha Shakyamuni, expressing the aspiration for world peace. Climbing to the top offers a panoramic view of Pokhara city and the entirety of Phewa Lake. #HikingRouteRecommendations #OutdoorHiking #NicheCulturalTravelDestinations #UniqueColorsOfEachTown #NicheCountryTravel #Nepal #Pokhara#Phewa Lake#World Peace Pagoda#trip diary#travel guide
