Nepal Travel Hidden Gems: Restaurants (Part 1)
During my time in Nepal, I’ve explored many restaurants—some disappointing, some great, and others that wowed me the first time but left me less impressed on the second visit. Today, I’m sharing a few of them with you! 1️⃣ Korean Cuisine: Hankook Sarang - Address: Brahmakumari Marg 30, Kathmandu 44600 - Avg. Cost: 50–100 CNY - Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Review: Very spicy and authentic! Good service and ambiance. Perfect for recharging after exploring Thamel. 2️⃣ Fusion Cuisine (Chinese/Nepali/Japanese/Korean): Alice - Address: M8J8+JX, Lalitpur 44600 - Avg. Cost: 50–100 CNY - Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Review: Stunning views and great atmosphere. Offers a mix of Chinese, Nepali, Japanese, and Korean dishes. Highly recommend the *chicken katsudon*, but skip the cocktails—they’re not good. 3️⃣ Cafe: Wake Cup Coffee - Address: M89M+X76, Lalitpur 44600 - Avg. Cost: 20–30 CNY - Rating: ⭐⭐⭐ (Deducted 2 stars as it’s not worth a special trip) - Review: Included here because it’s incredibly affordable and tasty. Deducted stars since it’s not a destination spot, but super convenient if you’re passing by. Must-tries: pasta, chicken sandwich, American breakfast, stir-fried noodles, and honey lemon tea. Great service, cozy vibe—best value for money! 4️⃣ Fusion Bar (Western/Nepali): Moksh Bar - Address: M8G6+WHM, Lalitpur 4470 - Avg. Cost: 100 CNY - Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Review: A bar-restaurant with live music on Friday nights. Not the best value, but the ambiance is excellent. Try the *Dapao* (resembles Chinese bao) and their freshly baked specialty pizzas. 5️⃣ Unnamed Nepali Restaurant - Address: Next to Yala Dhwakha – Patan Dhoka (upstairs near Patan Gate, noticeable for its dessert cakes) - Avg. Cost: 30 CNY - Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Review: Nepali food can feel repetitive, but this place stands out for its *visually appealing flatbreads*. Must-order: a cheesy roll (forgot the name, but delicious!) #Nepal #NepalTravel #LifeInNepal #Food
