Nestled among the mountains ⛰️🌆
Coming from London to study at Cornell 🏫, I really found it hard to adjust at first—away from the hustle and bustle of the big city 🍺, and immersed in a tranquility and serenity 🍵. Since the campus is built on mountainous terrain, even strolls across campus involve walking along rolling paths 📈📉. Though tiring, it adds a sense of layered beauty to the school. The buildings are scattered harmoniously across their own unique corners 🏠. Here, you can see modern steel and concrete structures alongside medieval-style red-brick houses—everything coexisting in perfect harmony 🏰. The arched bridges on campus 🌉 seem to pave the way for students toward their futures. The streams and waterfalls 🌊 continuously breathe vitality into this rustic campus. At the foot of the mountain, Cayuga Lake stretches out, where small sailboats drift along the water ⛵️. The benches along the shore are perfect for relaxing, accompanied by the fresh scent of grass 🌳. The ecosystem here is so lush that you can even spot deer leisurely grazing by the roadside 🦌—though there are also wolves around 🐺, and the school has sent out notices warning us to be cautious. It’s a beautiful place, like a hidden paradise untouched by the outside world. And it’s also the first stop on my American journey 🚉. #Ithaca #FamilyTravel #UpstateNY #NatureGetaway #Waterfalls
