Never Expected Vancouver's Landmark to Be a Steam Clock...

When a UBC student πŸ§‘β€πŸŽ“ first arrives in downtown Vancouver and is walking towards the waterfront, they might be surprised to stumble upon one of Vancouver's famous attractions: the Steam Clock, standing right by the roadside, billowing steam. 🌿 πŸ“š After learning more, it turns out this is the world's first steam clock, a landmark of Gastown. It primarily uses underground steam to power the clock's mechanism, with steam emerging from the ground every 15 minutes. 🌳 The sound of the steam is even longer on the hour. πŸ•°οΈ πŸ—ΊοΈ Tourist Route: If you're new to Vancouver, after visiting the Steam Clock, head to Canada Place. Follow the waterfront trail, and you'll spot the Dolphins statueβ€”a landmark. Continue walking, and you'll reach Stanley Park, one of the largest urban parks in North America. πŸ•°οΈ The park is free from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. 🌳 πŸ§‘β€πŸŽ“#Canada #WinterTravelBucketList #Gastown
