Ka Lani Waikīkī Beach, part of Hilton’s premium LXR collection, is an exceptional place to stay in Honolulu. Its location is unbeatable—just steps away from the beach, luxury shopping, and a wide array of dining options. 🌴🛍️🍽️ Not only does Ka Lani tower above the city bustle as one of Waikīkī’s tallest buildings, but it also sits alongside the relatively calm Fort DeRussy Beach Park, offering an elevated luxury experience that stands out from other Waikīkī options. We were truly impressed by Ka Lani’s spacious suites, each featuring a fully equipped kitchen and a generous living area. The large bathtub in the bathroom was perfect for a relaxing soak after a long day 🛁💫. Our balcony and windows offered stunning views of Diamond Head and Waikīkī Bay—it felt like we were on top of the world, overlooking the vibrant city skyline and enjoying breathtaking sunrises over the ocean 🌅. We started our mornings at In-Yō Café with a hearty breakfast that included both traditional breakfast items and local favorites like Spam and tropical fruits 🍍☕. Dinner at Wai‘olu Ocean Cuisine was another highlight—it’s undoubtedly one of Honolulu’s top restaurants. We enjoyed appetizers like crab crepes with curry sauce and a delicious pear-Brie-and-macadamia nut flatbread. For our main courses, we savored miso-glazed black cod and the daily special, grilled duck with couscous and citrus salad 🍤🍽️. Pro tip: Dine there on a Friday to catch the sunset and the weekly fireworks show at the nearby Hilton Hawaiian Village! 🎆 A true Hawaiian experience isn’t complete without spending time in the iconic Waikīkī area. We loved shopping, strolling along the waterfront, lounging on the beach, and dipping our toes in the ocean 🌊. We also hiked up Diamond Head for panoramic views of the city and O‘ahu’s eastern side (reservations required!). Ka Lani also served as the perfect home base for exploring other parts of the island, whether heading to Koko Head and the beautiful Waimānalo beaches or venturing up to the North Shore 🚗🌺. Of course, we made sure to experience Waikīkī’s nightlife, dancing into the early hours before returning to our peaceful and comfortable suite at Ka Lani 💃🌙.
