New American Dining in Downtown Philly | Wilder Check-in 🍽️✨

For Thanksgiving, I used Resy to book this promising spot near University City and snagged a table for Black Friday lunch β€” and it was full of pleasant surprises! Their lunch menu isn’t huge, but we ordered two cocktails, a soup, half a dozen oysters, a pasta, and a pizza. With tip, it came to around $70 per person. Their drink names are clever and tempting β€” makes you want to try them all! We went for the lunch special menu: $40 for half a dozen oysters + a pizza of your choice. πŸ¦ͺ Oysters were fresh, no grit, and zero fishy taste (and I’m sensitive to that!). πŸ• Pizza: Sweet & Spicy Pizza β€” the spiciness stood out more than the sweetness. Thin crust with a soft, chewy edge β€” very fragrant, though a bit oily. πŸ… Tomato & Espelette Soup – Just okay. The cheese flavor was a bit too strong and overpowered the soup. 🍝 Mafaldine alla Vodka – Delicious! Every ribbon of pasta coated in rich vodka sauce, topped with generous crab meat (more than it looks in the photo!). Service was excellent β€” staff kept refilling water, changing plates, and were very attentive. Ambiance was nice, though it got pretty lively after 12 PM. Only minor downside: seating is a bit tight. But overall, a great dining experience β€” I’d love to come back for brunch or dinner! πŸ“ Address: 2009 Sansom St, Philadelphia, PA 19103 #Philadelphia #PhillyLife #PhillyArea #PhillyFood #PhillyEats #DateNightSpot #WeekendEats
