📍 New Mexico Day 3 ➡️ El Paso, Texas ➡️ ABQ

Day 4: After lunch, we drove to El Paso. First stop was the US-Mexico border—but honestly, it felt more like an abandoned landfill 🗑️. So much trash, and people waving from the other side 🙋♂️. Then we visited Magoffin Home State Historic Site and Ysleta Mission. We didn’t spend much time outdoors in El Paso though—the weather was crazy hot 🌞😓. We skipped spots like Franklin Mountains. 🏨 Stayed at The Plaza Hotel Pioneer Park—super new and actually the nicest hotel we’ve had on this trip! Great price too. Had drinks at the rooftop bar in the evening and lucked out with a fireworks show 🎆✨. Day 5: Woke up and had brunch next door at Stanton House 🍳☕, then hit the road back to ABQ. Stopped by Bosque Del Apache National Wildlife Refuge 🦅—not bird migration season, but we did see a bunch of wild turkeys running around 🦃😂. Starting from Day 4, the weather turned pretty rough—rain non-stop 🌧️. After a delicious steak dinner at Savoy Bar & Grill 🥩, we tried our luck at the Sandia Resort Casino 🎰. We actually had a sunrise hot air balloon ride 🎈 planned for Day 5 before flying back to NYC… but it got canceled due to bad weather 😢. Hopefully next time we can try it in another city! #USATravel #OffTheBeatenPath #GraduationTrip #NewMexico #Texas #ABQ #ElPaso
