New Mexico Restaurant Recommendations
This post is all about my food adventure in New Mexico! Here’s a roundup of some great eats in a relatively remote and less crowded state—trust me, it’s not a food desert! 🏜️🍽️ ⚠️ For popular spots, especially on holidays, I recommend making reservations in advance via OpenTable. 🔥 Bravo! Italian Kitchen 📍 Located in Albuquerque Uptown (near Trader Joe’s for travel supplies!). 🇮🇹 An Italian restaurant with delicious pastas like Pasta Bravo, Spaghetti Bolognese, and Shrimp Scampi. 🔥 Little Anita's New Mexican Food 📍 In Albuquerque’s Old Town. 🌮 Authentic Mexican food—their Fajitas are a must-try! 🔥 Midtown Bistro 📍 In Santa Fe. 🍴 A solid American restaurant where we had Thanksgiving dinner. Good for drinks, with decent dishes like lamb chops, steak, and sea bass—though not mind-blowing. The ice cream dessert was nice! 🔥 Dolina Cafe Bakery 📍 A breakfast cafe in Santa Fe. 🧁 Loved the Lemon Poppy Seed Muffin and chocolate croissant! The lemon pie was a bit too sweet for me. 🔥 La Boca 📍 Popular Spanish tapas spot in Santa Fe. 🇪🇸 Great ambiance and authentic flavors. Highlights: Healthy Kale Salad, Gambas Fritas (fried shrimp), super tender Chicharrones De Andaluz (pork belly), amazing Lamb Albondigas (meatballs), New Mexico-style steak, and a must-try traditional seafood paella! 💯 🔥 Alicia’s Tortilleria 📍 A super authentic Mexican joint with a Spanish menu. 🌯 Perfect for breakfast—super affordable! The Breakfast Burrito is super flavorful, and the Beef Stew is huge. Also great tacos, quesadillas, and enchiladas. The shop is small, so takeout is a good option. 🔥 Rocket National Buffet 📍 Near White Sands National Park. 🥡 A Chinese buffet—when you’re in the desert, you can’t be too picky! Others also worth mentioning: 🌶️ El Pinto Restaurant – Southwestern cuisine in ABQ 🌶️ M'tucci's Italian – Italian in ABQ 🌶️ Tomasita's Santa Fe – New Mexican classics #HotMeals #USATravel #MyFoodDiary #NewMexico 🇺🇸🌮🍝
