New Omakase at New York's LIC spotted with purple sea urchin! 50šŸ”Ŗ

This omakase spot in New York is tucked away on the second floor of a food court in LIC—such an unassuming little shop, but it gave me a huge surprise! 🤩 🌟 Value for Money 🌟 Every piece of fish is incredibly fresh—seriously, the value is off the charts! The lunch omakase is 10 courses for $50, which works out to just $5 per piece—unbelievable, right?! 10 courses is a bit on the small side, but adding another two pieces will leave you pretty full. For dinner, it’s 12 courses for $68—still a total steal! 🌟 Dining Experience 🌟 The chef takes great care to introduce the characteristics of each fish, and he’s so warm and approachable! The pleasant surprise? He wears gloves 🧤 while making the sushi! That level of attention to hygiene is so reassuring—it makes you feel totally at ease! 🄹 🌟 Favorite Pieces 🌟 怐Purple Uni怑Unlike sea urchin, purple uni is light and refreshing with a hint of sweet aroma. I don’t remember having it before—it’s really special! 怐Bluefin Tuna Otoro怑The bluefin tuna otoro is rich in fat and melts in your mouth! The fish and the vinegared rice are at the same temperature, so the fish’s aroma wraps around every grain of rice—perfectly harmonious! 怐Spotted Mackerel怑It’s different from the usual mackerel—it has a sticky, gelatinous texture! Plus, with the smoky flavor, it’s so fragrant! 怐Tuna Hand Roll怑Delicious and not greasy at all! Because it’s mixed with three types of tuna (lean, medium, and fatty) and pickled cucumber! 🌟 Special Touch 🌟 I think they’re really good at controlling the temperature of the sushi! Both the fish and the vinegared rice are slightly warm, kept at the same temperature! When my partner was waiting for me to take photos... Chef šŸ‘Øā€šŸ³: ā€œDon’t wait! It’ll get cold!ā€ ā›³ļø Sushi Nikko NY 28-17 Jackson Ave 2nd Flr, Queens, NY 11101 #NewYork #NYC #NYCFood #NewYorkFoodGuide #NYCFoodReview #NYCSushi #NYCOmakase #NewNYCOmakase #NYCLIC #LICFood #AffordableNYCJapanese #NYCAffordableEats #DeliciousNYCJapaneseFood
