New Orleans: A French Country-Style Church Hotel ⛪️

During a recent holiday, I visited NOLA and booked a stay at Hotel Peter & Paul—only to realize after checking in that it’s also part of the Ace Hotel Group! Back in 2019, I stayed at their Siren Hotel in Detroit, and both properties do an amazing job of preserving the unique character of their respective cities while weaving in the brand’s signature aesthetic. It’s always such a thoughtful blend of history and style ✨. 🏰 From Church & Convent to Boutique Hotel Hotel Peter & Paul has a fascinating backstory—it was originally a church and convent, and the renovation kept so much of that historic charm alive. 🍮🍹 The Elysian Bar: The Hotel’s Highlight The renovated hotel is home to The Elysian Bar—a adorable spot that, in my opinion, is the most thoughtfully decorated area of the property. Compared to it, the hotel lobby feels a little underwhelming! Whether you’re grabbing a casual brunch, sipping a craft cocktail, or indulging in a sweet dessert, the bar’s cozy, inviting vibe makes it the perfect place to unwind. ⛪️🧘🏻‍♀️ Yoga in the Church: A Magical Morning Ritual One of the coolest things about the hotel? The former church space! During the day, they partner with the local yoga community NOLA Vibe Yoga to host morning flow classes. Imagine practicing yoga inside a historic church—ending with Shavasana (corpse pose), lying on your mat and gazing up at the tall church ceiling and stained-glass windows. It’s so quiet you can almost “feel” the light and the stillness of the air around you—an incredibly serene, soul-nourishing experience (like your energy is at 100% 🧘). For the exact schedule, be sure to check their social media! 🛏️🗝️ My Dream Red Attic Room The hotel offers several room types, each with different color schemes—and since I love red, I specifically requested a red room. What I got was an adorable attic room, and it was everything I’d ever wanted! As a kid, I’d always stare at the cutaway illustrations of houses in my English textbooks and daydream about living in an attic. This room turned that childhood fantasy into reality—it felt so cozy and secure, I didn’t want to leave 🥹. #BoutiqueDesignHotel #NewOrleans #NewOrleansTravel
