New Orleans|The Most Hidden & Beautiful French Restaurant is Here

If you visit New Orleans, you must try this French restaurant 🇫🇷! When my Lyft driver dropped me off in what looked like a deserted, abandoned neighborhood, I was seriously worried 😰… I couldn't see anything around that resembled a French restaurant. But if you look closely, you'll notice a weathered wall with "N7" written on it — no door handle in sight. Half-doubting, I pushed against the "wall"... and sure enough, it opened. Stepping inside, I was instantly amazed — was this a movie set? 🎬 The entire courtyard was wrapped in lush greenery, with golden sunset light spilling into every corner. Mismatched vintage tables and chairs were scattered around the garden, and soft, dreamy French music played in the background. A little path led to a charming blue cottage, and then a very stylish, French-inspired host (dressed impeccably 👗) greeted me and led me to her favorite table — with a view of the entire magical courtyard. The chef 👩🍳 is a Japanese woman, so many dishes feature Japanese-French fusion. Her husband is a French film director 🎥 (which explains why the place feels so cinematic!). He now curates the restaurant’s wine list. They live right next door in the house beside the restaurant. The restaurant’s name comes from France's Route Nationale 7 — the very road Michelin first used when creating its famous food guide during road trips! 🗺️ So if you're in New Orleans, skip the overhyped spots and give this one a try! 🍴 N7 📍 1117 Montegut St, New Orleans, LA #USATravel #HiddenGem #FrenchRestaurant #NewOrleans #UniqueDining #N7 #EscapeTheOrdinary 🌿🍷✨
