New Orleans | Dining at Taylor Swift's "Old Money" French Restaurant
🤩 Finally made it to Lilette — the same French restaurant Taylor Swift and her boyfriend visited during Super Bowl weekend! Brought my fellow Swiftie friend along for the experience. Overall, it’s a solid French bistro with charm and character. 🥂 Mocktails QT Cup (ginger ale, ginger juice, cucumber) 🥒 Hibiscus Spirit (grapefruit-forward) 🍊 Both were light and refreshing! 🍤 Appetizers 👍 Sizzling Shrimp – Served sizzling on a hot plate with lemon-oregano vinaigrette. Fresh, aromatic, and full of flavor! The house-made bread soaked up the sauce perfectly. 🐟 Crudo of Blue Fin Tuna – A chalkboard special. Good but not memorable — fresh fish, but the sauce didn’t wow us. 🥘 Main Courses 👍 Roasted Muscovy Duck Breast – A classic done right! Perfectly pink duck with buttery sautéed cauliflower 🦆. 🐑 Braised Lamb Shoulder – Not my favorite. The flavor leaned sour, and the wheat gnocchi was too salty. 🍮 Desserts 🥥 Coconut Cake – Taylor’s pick! Toasted coconut + cream + butter cake — very sweet, very American. A bit too rich for my taste. 🍓 Strawberry Semolina Cake – A chalkboard special! A traditional Middle Eastern cake with a slightly grainy, moist texture — really nice! 🏛️ Vibe & Service Cozy and intimate — tables are close together. At lunch, the crowd was mostly older, "old money" types 👑💼, some dressed up, some casual. The staff take pride in their food. When we asked for "Taylor’s order," an older server replied, "Seriously?" 😅 They’d rather let the dishes speak for themselves than lean on celebrity hype. By the way, the couple next to us ordered the Seared Grouper and Sautéed Striped Bass and loved both — worth trying if you’re into fish! 🐟❤️ #LocalFoodGem #NewOrleans #FrenchRestaurant #TaylorSwift #Swiftie #EatsLikeTaylor #FoodieReview #OldMoneyVibes
