New Orleans | The Tiger Lady π & Her Chef's Table π΄
After eating mostly Western food for several days in New Orleans, we were craving Asian flavors β so we found Mister Mao (thought it was a Chinese restaurant at first, but itβs actually named after the ownerβs cat π±). The overall experience was a wonderful surprise! Since we booked kind of late, the only option left was the Chefβs Table β though it comes with an extra service charge, it was totally worth it. We got to watch up close as the Cambodian-American chef (known as the "Tiger Lady" for her leopard prints π―) ran her kitchen β she even won a Food Network championship π! She also sent out lots of little tasting plates for us to try. The whole restaurant is decorated with a lush, tropical jungle vibe π΄ β many of the furniture pieces, mirrors πͺ, and light fixtures were handpicked by the chef from antique shops.
