New Orleans | Visiting Taylor Swift's "Old Money" French Restaurant ๐ฝ
๐คฉ Finally made it to Lilette โ the same French restaurant Taylor Swift and her boyfriend visited during Super Bowl weekend! Brought my fellow Swiftie friend along for the experience. We even got the inside scoop from our server on which table Taylor sat at that night! ๐ช๐ซ Combining online info and staff tips, hereโs what Taylor likely ordered that evening: Overall, itโs a solid French restaurant with a classy vibe. ๐ฅ Mocktails Tried the QT Cup (ginger ale, ginger juice, cucumber โ so refreshing!) and Hibiscus Spirit (grapefruit-forward). Both were light and delicious. ๐ ๐ค Appetizers ๐ Sizzling Shrimp โ A must-try! Served sizzling on a hot plate with a lemon-oregano vinaigrette. Fresh, aromatic, and full of flavor. The house-made bread soaked up the sauce perfectly! ๐ Crudo of Blue Fin Tuna โ A special from the chalkboard. As a sashimi lover, Iโd say it was good but not mind-blowing. The fish was fresh, sauce was fine โ just not super memorable. ๐ฅ Main Courses ๐ Roasted Muscovy Duck Breast โ A classic and safe choice. The duck was beautifully pink, and the butter-sautรฉed cauliflower was incredible! ๐ Braised Lamb Shoulder โ Personally, not my favorite. The flavor leaned sour, though the meat was tender. Served with salty wheat gnocchi โ might not be for everyone. ๐ฎ Desserts ๐ฅฅ Coconut Cake โ Taylorโs pick! Toasted coconut + cream + butter cake. Very sweet, very American โ a bit too rich for my taste. ๐ Strawberry Semolina Cake โ A chalkboard special! A traditional Middle Eastern cake with a slightly grainy, moist texture. Really nice! The restaurant is cozy โ tables are close together. At lunch, the crowd was mostly older, "old money" types ๐๐ผ, some dressed up, some casual. Our server was clearly proud of their dishes. When we asked for "Taylorโs order," an older server responded, "Seriously?" ๐ They seem to want to be known for their food โ not just for celebrity visits.
