New Orleans — Food Diary: Part 3 ❤️
This time, we visited Muriel's Jackson Square. It's said this building is a haunted house 👻! Historically, it housed Black women who were treated brutally, and after a fire, the place became known for paranormal activity at night. Since becoming a restaurant, though, things seem to have quieted down... Seafood Gumbo — Tasty! Not as salty as Mr. B’s Bistro’s version, which was a nice change 🍲. Wedged Salad 🥗 — Fresh and crisp! Onion Tart — Delicious 😋, with a hint of sweet onion flavor. Tomato-Based Seafood Soup — Highly recommended! 🍅🦐 Drum Fish — A local fish, crusted with pecans and roasted to tender, buttery perfection. Super fresh! 🐟✨ Roasted Half Chicken — The marinade was amazing — jerky-like, smoky, with a touch of sweetness. I loved it, and the portion was huge! 🍗❤️ Crème Brûlée & Bread Pudding — Pretty standard, but satisfying. This is a classic American restaurant — comforting, well-prepared food without any fuss. Prices are reasonable, and if you're not looking for ultra-high-end dining, Muriel's can still pleasantly surprise you! #NewOrleans #MurielsJacksonSquare #HauntedDining #NOLAFood #FoodReview #LocalEats #SouthernFlavors 🍽️👻💕
