New Orleans — Food Journey 🍽️
This time we visited a restaurant called Muriel's Jackson Square. I heard this building is said to be a haunted house! 🏚️👻 It's rumored that the house was once inhabited by enslaved people, and after a tragic fire, strange occurrences were said to happen at night. But since it’s been operating as a restaurant, nothing unusual has been reported lately. 1. Gumbo seafood — Tasty and well-balanced, not as salty as the one from Mr. B’s Bistro! 🦞🍲 2. Wedged Salad 🥗 — Fresh and crisp! 3. Onion Tart — Really delicious 😋, with a subtle sweetness from the caramelized onions. 4. Tomato-based seafood soup — Highly recommend this one! Rich and full of flavor 🍅🦐 5. Drum fish — A local favorite! Coated with pecans and grilled to tender, buttery perfection. So fresh and flaky! 🐟✨ 6. Roasted half chicken — The marinade is amazing, with a jerky-inspired flavor—smoky and slightly sweet. Huge portion, and I really enjoyed it! 🍗🔥 7. Crème brûlée & bread pudding — Solid desserts, classic and comforting. 🍮🍮 It’s a classic American restaurant with consistently good flavors—nothing over-the-top, but everything feels satisfying and reasonably priced. If you're not chasing ultra-fine dining but still want a memorable meal, this place will pleasantly surprise you! 💫 Have you ever dined in a restaurant with a spooky backstory?
