New Orleans 4 Days & 3 Nights - Non-Intensive Version
No need to rush around—you can explore New Orleans at a leisurely pace! This 4-day, 3-night itinerary is perfect for those who want to enjoy the trip rhythm and focus on a "comfortable experience." Detailed tips are included, so you can copy it directly! Day 1: Cross-Time Zone Arrival · First Taste of Southern Flavors ✈️ Transportation Tip: Departed from San Francisco (SFO) at 8 AM, but didn’t arrive in New Orleans until evening. Key point! There’s a 2-hour time difference between California and New Orleans—friends, be sure to adjust your schedule in advance to avoid being too tired after landing~ 🍴 Dinner: Luke Restaurant The taste was average, not particularly amazing, but oyster lovers can go for Happy Hour—great value for money and a chance to try fresh oysters! Day 2: Swamp Adventure · Seafood Boil Feast 🚤 Morning: Cajun Encounters Swamp Tour $35 per person, with two options: "boat tour" and "kayak." We chose the boat tour for more ease—no need to paddle by ourselves~ The guide uncle was super funny, interacting and joking with everyone. Along the way, we saw wild alligators 🐊 and "raccoons" (nicknamed "crispy noodle guy" in memes) 🥰—getting up close to nature was so healing! 🦞 Lunch: Big EZ Seafood (Southern-style seafood boil) The taste is similar to Boiling Crab, but the crawfish in New Orleans are plumper! There are three branches in total; we went to the one not far from downtown—fresh ingredients, delicious dipping sauce, and eating with your hands is super satisfying~ Day 3: Plantation Photos · French Quarter Stroll · Jazz Night 🌿 Morning: Oak Alley Plantation It’s a 1-hour drive from downtown, with tickets at $32 per person. Be sure to book in advance to avoid no tickets available on-site~ Rows of giant oak trees are spectacular, with their branches weaving into a natural arcade. Wearing a beautiful dress 👗 for photos is perfect—you can take vintage-style blockbuster shots in minutes 📷! 🍳 Lunch: Ruby’s Slipper (Brunch) Highly recommend the Eggs Benedict 🥚 and signature pancakes 🥞. The eggs are rich in flavor, the pancakes are fluffy, and paired with a glass of fresh juice 🍹 or coffee ☕️—after eating, you’ll be full of energy for the afternoon itinerary~ 🌆 Afternoon: Leisurely walk in the French Quarter Wander slowly on the colorful streets to feel New Orleans’ unique charm; go to Jackson Square to watch street artists perform and take casual vibe photos~ 📸 Check-in Spot: The LaBranche House (Internet-famous metal house) with a super unique architectural style. The photos taken here are super cool and will definitely get you likes on Moments! ☕ Afternoon Tea: Cafe du Monde. Must-order beignets dusted with powdered sugar 🥖 and coffee. Sit outdoors and eat slowly to enjoy the leisure time~ 🎷 Evening: Jazz at Preservation Hall The atmosphere is amazing with great interaction. Listening to live jazz for the first time was really fun, and the Black uncle was super enthusiastic 😳! Be sure to book tickets in advance—popular shows fill up quickly! Day 4: Delicious Farewell · Return Trip 🍴 Last Meal: Oceana Restaurant Ordered crawfish rice bowl and fried alligator—so delicious it made me cry 😭! The crawfish rice bowl was packed with ingredients, and the rice soaked up the sauce; the fried alligator was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with no fishy taste at all. It was the perfect final meal for the trip~ #NewOrleans #BayAreaWeekendGetaway #Crawfish #Oysters #NewOrleansFood #Alligator #USATravel #USAHolidayDestinations #MemorialDay #Raccoon
