New Orleans Brunch Recommendations | What to Eat 🍳✨

Over Christmas in New Orleans, I tried three brunch spots — here’s my ranking and top dishes! 👩‍🍳 Brunch Ranking Bearcat ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A popular spot that truly lives up to the hype — and my favorite! No reservations, but plenty of indoor/outdoor seating. We ordered the Lobster Daddy and Crab Scramble. The Lobster Daddy was outstanding — fresh, tender lobster with crispy coating and a delicious sauce. Not too heavy or oily. The Crab Scramble was good (crab scrambled eggs with asparagus and potatoes), but milder compared to the lobster. Drink pick: Black Sesame Chai — so good, try it! 💰 Slightly pricier — about $40 per person after tax, tip, and fees (including a “staff wellness fund” 😅). Ruby Slipper ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A chain with a location on Canal St. Huge portions! We tried the Fried Chicken & French Toast and Trifecta Eggs. Loved the sweet-spicy fried chicken with crispy French toast bites! The Trifecta (fried chicken, beef, and shrimp each topped with an egg) was solid but massive — hard to finish. Great value for money. Two Chicks Cafe ⭐️⭐️ Below our hotel, also popular — late arrivals mean waiting. Ordered Papa French Toast and Coconut Chia Bowl. Portions are huge, but both dishes were just okay. The French toast was soft and nutty — not as crispy as Ruby Slipper’s — and the wait was nearly 20 minutes 😅. Overall, not a standout. New Orleans lunch/dinner and oyster recommendations coming in the next post! #NewOrleans #NOLAFood #BrunchGuide 🥞🍳🎷
