New Orleans Drinking Guide is Here! šŸ¹

šŸ“ Jewel of the South This famous bar is ranked among the World’s 50 Best Bars and the birthplace of many classic cocktails. I posted a separate review about it before—if you’re a cocktail lover, this is a must-visit pilgrimage spot šŸ„‚! šŸ“ Peychaudā€˜s Also located in the French Quarter, it’s a tiny, super chill bar. Here are two drinks I recommend: šŸ¹ Vieux CarrĆ©: I’m obsessed with its aroma! It has a fresh lemon peel scent mixed with herbal notes. There’s a bit more dilution, but the flavor balance is still on point—so delicious. šŸ¹ Ramos Gin Fizz: It’s served for two people minimum, but it’s so worth it! Not too heavy, with a lovely orange blossom oil flavor, herbal gin, and cream. It’s a perfect, classic version—highly recommend! šŸ“ Erin Rose Another spot in the French Quarter, this pub has an awesome vibe. Their frozen Irish coffee is pretty famous… but I tried it and found it unbearably sweet—tasted like Oreo slushie āŒ. That said, if you just want to grab a beer, this is a great place to hang out šŸ»! šŸ“ Beachbum Berryā€˜s Latitude 29 A popular local tiki bar. Here’s a quick breakdown of the drinks we tried: šŸ¹ Latitude 29: Packed with passion fruit flavor! It has vanilla and pineapple, so it’s a bit sweet, but if you take a big sip, you can taste the orange notes—it’s really fun. šŸ¹ Paul of the Jungle: Sweeter upfront than the traditional Jungle Bird, with an herbal bitter finish. I still prefer the original version, though. šŸ¹ Pontchartrain: Light and creamy at first sip, with a hint of honey. The spicy aftertaste is just right—such an interesting drink! šŸ¹ Bradā€˜s Banana Banshee: It’s like a boozy banana milkshake slushie, with strong banana bread vibes. But the alcohol doesn’t blend super well, and the finish is a bit harsh. The local bartender also recommended some other bars, but we didn’t have time to visit them all. If you’re interested, feel free to check them out—happy sipping! 😊 #NoBadDrinks #DiscoverHiddenBars #Cocktails #Bars #NewOrleans #NightcapVibes #AlcoholLovers #DrinkingDaily #BarHopping #ExploreBars
