New Orleans Food Diary ๐ โ Part 2 โค๏ธ
On the second night, we visited a local Cajun restaurant thatโs been around since 1947 โ Mr. Bโs Bistro, a true New Orleans classic! We were super excited ๐คฉ. Their must-order dish is the BBQ Shrimp โ you havenโt really been here if you miss it! 1 & 2. Gumbo โ A must-try local specialty! We tried both the seafood version and the original. We personally loved the original more! ๐ฒ BBQ SHRIMP ๐๐๐๐๐ So delicious we ordered a second plate ๐. The server was super sweet and even gave us an extra shrimp ๐. So peppery, buttery, and the shrimp were incredibly fresh โ a perfect mix of spicy black pepper and rich butter. OMG ๐! Grilled Fish with Crab Meat The crab topping was the perfect touch โ the flavors of fish and crab blended beautifully! ๐๐ฆ Pear Cosmo Strong pear flavor but not overwhelming โ just perfect! ๐โจ Refreshing and great for anyone who loves fruity cocktails. Brandy Milkshake Rich brandy with creamy goodness โ ideal for sharing if you love creamy drinks! Since it was pretty large, the server even gave me a to-go cup ๐ (and yes, you can walk around with drinks in NOLA! ๐คญ). Bread Pudding Poured with crรจme anglaise (English custard) โ sweet, rich, and soaked in creamy goodness. Tasted a bit like sweetened condensed milk! ๐ฎ Pecan Pie Loaded with toasted pecans โ so fragrant and delicious! ๐ฅง Vanilla Ice Cream ๐จ Even their vanilla ice cream was better than usual โ creamy and full of flavor! The service here was absolutely wonderful โ Southern hospitality at its finest! We happily left a generous tip ๐ต. Loved the food so much, we even bought their cookbook for $30 ๐ โ canโt wait to try making that BBQ shrimp at home! ๐ค๐ผ๐ฅฐ #NewOrleans #NOLAFood #FoodDiary #MrBsBistro #CajunCuisine #SouthernHospitality #EatLikeALocal
