New Orleans food diary
1๏ธโฃ Commander's Palace $$$ ๐๐๐๐ โ๏ธ A great place to experience the traditional upper-class atmosphere of the American South! The decor is Tiffany blue, perfect for photos. They also have jazz brunch on weekends, but it's hard to get a reservation and there's a dress code ๐. โ๏ธ The cheese and garlic bread served before the meal is excellent; the famous turtle soup is too salty, and the soufflรฉ is too sweet, neither of which I liked; on the contrary, the rich-textured pecan bass and the slightly bitter chocolate tart won my heart. 2๏ธโฃ Ruby's Slipper Cafรฉ $$ ๐๐๐๐๐ โ๏ธ An extremely popular brunch spot with great taste and value for money. The service is very friendly, and they call everyone "baby". You can check in early on Yelp. โ๏ธ They have many different Benedicts, and you can order a double combo, both shrimp & beef are delicious! The Sweet heat chicken and grits are also very good. Their French toast is also famous. 3๏ธโฃ Acme Oyster House $$ ๐๐๐๐ โ๏ธ A century-old oyster restaurant famous for its reputation, usually with a long queue, but you can walk in during non-peak hours. The service is average, but the food is served quickly. โ๏ธ Both the original and butter grilled oysters are delicious, and the seafood platter with fried crawfish is also good. The fried soft-shell crab is a bit fishy, not recommended. If there's no queue, it's worth a try. #New Orleans#Acme Oyster House#Ruby Slipper Cafe#Commander's Palace#food diary
