New Orleans Food Exploration Recommendations ๐ฝ๏ธโจ
I absolutely loved New Orleans! I was there for a week-long NeurIPS conference and basically just ate and drank non-stop โ my face definitely got rounder ๐ , but hey, there's always time to diet later! ๐ด Dinner / Fine Dining Ireneโs โ Delicious! The mussels, amandine fish, and lamb chops were all great. Make a reservation early or try for a last-minute cancellation! Trenasse โ Everything was tasty! Duck leg, crawfish pie, seafood stew, and the "Taste of Trenasse" sampler were all hits. Maypop โ Vietnamese fusion. Bone marrow, lobster noodles, grilled fish โ good but a bit salty and portions are small. Taihey โ Thai food! Frog legs, crab fried rice, lamb, tom yum soup โ all delicious! โ โ โ โ โ (minus one star because they donโt accept split payments on more than two cards ๐). Espiritu โ All kinds of tacos were amazing, and the decor was super cute! ๐ฎ ๐ฆช Seafood Luke โ Only tried happy hour oysters and fried oysters. Pretty good, but oysters are now $2 each (price went up ๐ธ). Dragoโs โ Chargrilled oysters were fantastic! Alligator tacos also great; lobster pasta was okay but not outstanding. Felixโs โ Had to wait in line. Tried three types of grilled oysters โ only the original flavor was decent. Big EZ โ Tasty and affordable! Like a Cajun-style boiling crab spot โ flavor was on point! Cajun Seafood โ DO NOT GO โ crazy salty and not fresh at all. ๐ #Seafood #SeafoodLover #WeekendEats #NewOrleans #NOLAFood #FoodieDiary ๐ฆ๐ค
