New Orleans Food Journey #3 – Brennan’s 🍽️

A massive restaurant — packed on Sunday morning! Glad I made a reservation 😌. Lived up to the hype overall. 🍽️ Food: 3.5/5 Turtle Soup: Pretty tasty with a subtle spicy kick 🌶️. Added depth to an otherwise dark broth. The turtle meat was mild — my friend joked, “If you’re eating turtle, braised is better.” Eggs & Oyster Cocotte: Absolutely delicious! Rich, savory baked oysters with eggs 🥚🦪. Perfect with crispy baguette or straight from the spoon — highly recommend! Duck Confit Hash: The duck was okay — couldn’t really taste the “duck egg” they mentioned. The wasabi mayo helped cut the richness. A solid choice if you’re tired of classic brunch dishes. Bananas Foster: Came mainly for the tableside flambé performance 🔥🍌. The dessert itself? Extremely sweet, as expected. 🌿 Ambiance: 5/5 Gorgeous interior! Would love to sit outside next time — even spotted a golden turtle in the pond 🐢💛! 💁 Service: 4/5 Our main server was great but super busy. Other staff who stepped in seemed a bit impatient. Also had to wait a while for the Bananas Foster show ⏳. 📊 Overall: 4/5 Met expectations — a bit pricey but a nice experience overall. Menu is creative and worth trying! #GlobalEats #TravelFoodDiary #StudyAbroadEats #NewOrleansFood #BrunchGoals #BrennansNOLA #FoodieReview
