New Orleans Has the Best Fried Chicken in the World!
Not clickbait! As someone whoβs eaten fried chicken for over 20 years, I was truly blown away this time π±β¨. One of the most rewarding moments as an out-of-town foodie is getting praised by a local driver for your restaurant choice. After a friendβs recommendation, we took a ride to Jacques Imoβs for dinner. The driver exclaimed, βThat place is amazing β you have to order the rabbit!β π° We didnβt end up trying it, but the whole meal still left us absolutely stunned β we were in a state of constant π€― throughout. π My top pick: Fried Chicken ππππππππππ Crispy, well-seasoned skin giving way to unbelievably juicy dark meat. Itβs βjustβ a fried chicken leg, but the layers of flavor and texture are anything but simple. It feltβ¦ alive. If I were a chicken, this would be a glorious way to go ππ«. π₯ Second place: Cornbread πππππ & Third place: Pork Ribs πππππ Honestly, itβs hard to choose between these two β both could easily hold their own on a Michelin-starred table. The cornbread is rich with garlicky butter and sweet corn satisfaction π§π½, while the pork ribs have a smoky depth that reminds me of beautifully cured bacon ribs π₯. High-level cooking in such a down-to-earth, lively spot made it easy to just relax and devour everything. Yes, I picked up that chicken leg and gnawed it clean π. We also tried Crawfish Rice πππ and Watermelon Mojito ππ β both were just okay. Maybe I was too busy savoring the chicken and let the rice get cold π₯². The mojitoβs only flaw? The straw was too thin to suck up the watermelon bits π. #NewOrleans #RestaurantRecommendation #USTravel #GlobalEats #FriedChicken #FoodMemories #MustTryInNOLA
