New Orleans Hotel Recommendation: The Pontchartrain Hotel 🏨
It’s my second time in NOLA, and I stayed at The Pontchartrain Hotel near the Garden District—a location famously featured in A Streetcar Named Desire! 🎭 The hotel has a lovely vintage charm, and they still use real keys 🔑! You can leave your key at the front desk when you go out if you're worried about losing it. The interior is absolutely beautiful and so elegant—I could spend the whole day taking photos in the room! 📸✨ Hotels in this area really have so much character. It’s not far from the French Quarter, with a streetcar stop right outside 🚋. The neighborhood is quiet and not too crowded with tourists. Nearby you’ll also find Lafayette Cemetery and the WWII Museum 🪦🏛️, plus plenty of great dining and drinking options. The famous Commander’s Palace is also close by! The Garden District has gorgeous historic streetscapes with grand, antique mansions—it was even a filming location for American Horror Story: Coven! 🧙♀️🍂 Have you stayed in a historic hotel that made you feel like you stepped into a movie?
