New Orleans is So Much Fun to Explore!

Just spent two days wandering the French Quarter โ€” hereโ€™s the lowdown: ๐ŸŽญ Activities Taste of Nawlins: A French Quarter Tour on Groupon that includes breakfast ๐Ÿฅฏ. You hear stories from a local guide โ€” pretty interesting! Stories about century-old houses, vampire origins, and the term "sugar daddy" ๐Ÿ‘ป๐Ÿ’ธ. But the included breakfast was just okay โ€” nothing special. French Market: Felt like a Yiwu wholesale market ๐Ÿ›๏ธ. The guide said it had the cheapest souvenirs, butโ€ฆ Iโ€™m not so sure ๐Ÿ˜…. Bourbon Street: The ultimate bar strip โ€” youโ€™ll never run out of nightlife here! Every bar has live bands playing ๐ŸŽธ๐ŸŽถ. Gets lively by 8โ€“9 PM, and almost everyone carries a green "Hand Grenade" cocktail ๐Ÿน โ€” sweet and worth a try! The LaBranche House: A Xiaohongshu photo hotspot ๐Ÿ“ธ โ€” said to be the prettiest house in the French Quarter. Jackson Square: Another must-photograph spot! Jazz performances start early in the morning ๐ŸŽท, and there are charming horse-drawn carriages nearby. The Sazerac House: NOLA has strong cocktail culture, and this is a museum by a successful cocktail company. Book a free tour in advance โ€” you even get to taste three signature cocktails ๐Ÿฅƒโœจ. Steamboat NATCHEZ: A steamboat cruise on the Mississippi River ๐Ÿšข โ€” book ahead! You can enjoy live jazz with dinner (buffet style with steak, chicken, crawfish rice, pasta, corn, potatoes, etc.). The food was decent! The French Quarter is seriously fun to explore โ€” street music, painters, voodoo fortune tellers ๐Ÿ”ฎ, artsy vibes, and cute boutiques everywhere! Plus, there are museums, an aquarium, outlets, and great food โ€” a total tourist paradise ๐Ÿ™๏ธ๐ŸŽจ. ๐Ÿด Local Food Highlights Po'boys: Classic sandwiches โ€” you can find them almost anywhere ๐Ÿฅช. Beignets: French-style fried doughnuts โ€” must go to Cafe Du Monde! The French Quarter location is cash only โ€” just sit down and a server will take your order. P.S. They also have a location at the airport! โœˆ๏ธ Char-grilled Oysters: Every seafood spot we tried had them. ACME: Just okay ๐Ÿฆช Drago's: Pretty good ๐Ÿ‘ Big EZ: Absolutely amazing! ๐Ÿ”ฅ Crawfish: ACME has crawfish rice bowls ๐Ÿš Big EZ has spicy Cajun-style crawfish ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ๐Ÿฆž #NOLA #NewOrleansFood #NewOrleans #TravelGuide ๐ŸŽบ๐Ÿค๐ŸŒ†
