New Orleans Live Music Bar Recommendations — Can’t Listen to Them All!

I really wanted to hit Bourbon St. and Frenchmen St. every night for live music — there’s just so much to hear! The Spotted Cat Music Club Entry: $10 + tax 💵 Pack-ed! We arrived late and ended up standing near the door — but right next to the band 😄. Each band member took turns singing (the guitarist uncle was kinda handsome 🎸😉). P.S. Across from this spot, there’s also great street music — bring cash for tips! Fritzel’s European Jazz Pub You need to order a drink to enter 🍷. Went two nights — different bands each time, all top-notch! Sets usually start 15 minutes past the hour. Come early if you want a good seat! Bands sell CDs and vinyl — I bought one and got it signed by the whole band 📀✨. Ticklers Bar No photos allowed (the bouncer made that clear), so no pics. They play classics, and you can even pay $40 to interact with the band — request a song or sing along! One night, a girl sang Lady Gaga’s “Shallow” — absolutely incredible! 🎤🔥 Bourbon St. Drinkery Stumbled upon this place on the way back to the hotel — listened from outside. Solid band, female singer had a cool smoky voice 🎤❤️, mostly pop tunes. Vampire Speakeasy (not the real name) No live music, but vampire-themed — fun if you’re into that vibe 🧛‍♂️.
