📍 New Orleans NOLA 📷 Street Photography Route Guide 🎨
🚶♀️ New Orleans isn’t huge — perfect for citywalk! 🧭 Here’s a photo-friendly walking route that’s scenic and not too tiring ⬇️ Walking time without stops: about 40 minutes. 1️⃣ 🏨 Sonder at 1500 Canal This trip, we stayed at Sonder again — $500+ for 4 nights 💸. A spacious 1-bed-1-bath apartment-style hotel with a sofa bed in the living room 🛋️. We fit 3 people comfortably. Located at a quieter corner of Canal Street — peaceful but best to go out at night with company (even the main strip can feel sketchy after dark). 2️⃣ Sheraton New Orleans Hotel On Canal Street, right by the NCA conference center 🏢. Many attendees stay here or at the Marriott across the street. Canal Street itself is incredibly photogenic — NOLA’s rich architectural colors are a feast for the eyes 🏛️🎨. 3️⃣ Thaihey NOLA, Decatur Street A must-try, delicious Thai restaurant 🍛🇹🇭! This little street is packed with restaurants and quirky local shops — great for both eating and snapping candid street shots 📸🛍️. 4️⃣ Jackson Square (next to the Mississippi River) There are multiple paths from Decatur Street to Jackson Square — each lined with vibrant buildings 🌈. You can walk along the Mississippi River (it’s not much to look at, but hey, it’s iconic 🌊). At night, there’s a charming steamboat 🛥️, and right nearby, steps lead up to a giant Christmas tree 🎄 — perfect for people-watching over the French Quarter and catching street performances 🎷. 5️⃣ The LaBranche House, Royal Street A three-story architectural gem and famous photo spot 🏰📸. It’s a bit tricky to find — on a street corner, with many similar-looking buildings around. Better to pin the location if you’re making a special trip! #NewOrleans 🎨🎺✨
