New Orleans Restaurants So Good Even Ants Would Stop for a Bite π
TLDR: N7, Paladar 511 β solid 8/10 from me. Fiery Crab β delicious and crazy good value! βͺοΈ N7: Amazing ambiance β a true hidden gem tucked behind a street-side door πͺβ¨. French-Japanese fusion that works beautifully. We tried brunch, but the dinner menu looks equally tempting. The soup du jour was incredible π₯£. Our server, a friendly French grandpa π΄π·, made the experience even better. Their sister restaurant is in Kyoto β the chef is a Japanese woman π£π―π΅. Highly recommend! βͺοΈ Paladar 511: Must-order: squid ink spaghetti π¦π β seasoned in a way that feels almost Chinese, unbelievably flavorful! Great for a date night π. The Wagyu steak was just okay β tasted like Texas Roadhouse level π₯©π . But everything else was on point, and the ice cream sundae was divine π¨β€οΈ. βͺοΈ Fiery Crab: A Louisiana chain thatβs seriously delicious and affordable! My partner and I have big appetites, but we spent only ~$25 per person πΈ. Everything fried was tasty β though the catfish was a bit fishy. Go for the white fish or shrimp ππ€. Weekday lunch specials (before 3 PM) are a steal! If you go, aim for a weekday noon β youβll leave stuffed! Their charbroiled oysters are incredible too, but order at least a dozen β portions are small π¦ͺπ₯. βͺοΈ Other Asian spots (decent but not mind-blowing): Sukho Thai: Curry was average, but the pad thai was good π. Tuna salad was fresh (apparently the tuna is flown from Thailand πβοΈ). Tom yum soup was a bit off, but the pineapple fried rice tasted like savory Chinese fried rice ππ. Coconut ice cream was a highlight π₯₯π¦. I Love Noods: Solid ramen and pho π², generous portions. The cucumber salad tasted like Chinese-style smashed cucumbers π₯. Clean place, also serves boba and dim sum π₯π§. Perfect when youβre tired of NOLAβs heavy Creole fare and craving something light and Asian! #NOLA #NewOrleans #RestaurantRecommendations #USATravel π¦π·π
