New York’s Best Cantonese Food: Home of the Best Porridge 🍔
Last year, I wrote a summary, and after several more visits, I discovered even more delicious dishes! 🌟 🧄 Garlic Chicken: Less than half a chicken for under $18, enough to feed three to four people! The chicken skin is salty and fragrant, with a mild garlic flavor. The meat is firm and so delicious that I immediately ordered another to take away. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🎢🍃King of Chicken: This dish is nourishing, with a thick layer of scallion and ginger sauce, perfect for autumn and winter. Red-Braised Squab: When you tear it apart, the juice flows out. The wings are slightly charred but not tough. It’s not cheap at $27, almost the price of a whole chicken. 🐙 King of Stir-Fries: The squid, fried with starch, is particularly delicious and goes great with rice, just like the white fish dish. ⭐️⭐️ Cured Meat Stir-Fry: Although only the sausage is meat, the lotus root slices, green beans, and wood ear mushrooms are all flavorful and delicious. ⭐️⭐️ 🎢🍃Asparagus with Beef Cubes: The asparagus is cut into short pieces, making it easy to eat, and the beef cubes are super large. Pan-Fried Lamb Chops: The cumin and garlic flavors are strong, with more meat than fat, a great ratio. 🍲 Mixed Vegetable Winter Melon Soup: Chicken, pork, and shrimp with winter melon and sponge gourd, super refreshing. Soy Sauce Spare Ribs with Rice Noodle Roll: The rice noodle rolls are curled and soaked in sauce, and the spare ribs are tender and fall off the bone with a light bite. It’s a nostalgic Cantonese flavor. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Gold and Silver Cured Sausage Rice: It’s so fragrant! The sausage has a firm and chewy texture. Surprisingly, the small pot seems to have more and more as you dig in, super flavorful. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🎢🍃 Sweet Potato Cake: Soft, smooth, and fragrant, without filling, it’s the true flavor of coarse grains. 🍠 #NewYork #NYC #NYCEats #NYCFoodie #CantoneseFood 🍔
