New York’s World Top 50 Whisky Bar—And the Food Is Amazing Too! 🌟

Last week, I paid another visit to this hidden gem of a bar. I’ve been to the Flatiron Room in Murray Hill for over a decade, easily more than ten times (including several department annual parties that took over the place 😂). I even brought my parents here once to see a show. 🎉 📍 Flatiron Room Murray Hill World Top 50 Whisky Bar 🥃 And they have live performances, creating an incredible atmosphere! I didn’t expect much from the food since it’s primarily a place for shows, but it turned out to be really good! 🍽️ 🎶 This time, the band was fantastic. The lead singer had an aura reminiscent of Mrs. Maisel—her voice was so soothing and comfortable. 🎤 🍸 I ordered their signature Smoking Old Fashioned and a sweet drink called Armchair Psychiatrist (rum-based). Both were delightful! 🥤 For dinner, we went à la carte this time: 🍣 Barrel Board Sushi It looks spectacular, and it’s one of the best white sushi I’ve had! The accompanying salad was also super fresh. 🍣 🦞 Lobster Thermidor The lobster was packed with meat, and it came with mac & cheese on the side, which was perfect for satisfying hunger. 🦀 🍰 Chocolate Mille-Feuille Delicious and not overly sweet! 🍰 They also have a 95/5 tasting menu that seems like a great deal. #DrinkingGuide 🥂 #NYCFoodie 🍔
