New York's Japanese Cake Haven 🍰
🌸I'm talking about Burrow in Dumbo, Brooklyn. This place has the most outrageous operating hours: Tuesday to Friday, 10 am to 2 pm. It perfectly avoids the working hours of office-goers, and once the goods are sold out, that's it—no restocking! As a working person, my last visit was ages ago. But I couldn't resist its deliciousness. 🎢 The owner is incredibly friendly, always wrapping items with sincerity and greeting customers warmly. The shop is tiny and tucked away in a building, making it quite inconspicuous. But recently, I took a break from work and had the time to visit Burrow early in the morning, spending 45 minutes there leisurely. 🌊 The Gateau Basque is fantastic. I thought it would be a king cake, but the outer layer is a tart, not a puff pastry. The custard filling is rich and flavorful, and I personally think it's better than a regular king cake. I love it! The Fig Tart is very delicate, with thin slices of figs on top of whipped cream, a buttery tart crust, and jam below. It's not too sweet and very tasty. This place is perfect for Asian palates, with a perfect balance of sweet and sour, never overly sweet. 🍃 The pastries are cute and well-crafted, and because of the limited operating hours, there's no long line. It's ideal for grabbing a few pastries or cakes and heading to the nearby park or Devoción to enjoy them properly. 📍 68 Jay St #119, Brooklyn, NY 11201 #100StoreVisitsPlan #BreadWillCome 🌇🌟
