New York's Most Generous Omakase! Sake Poured to Overflowing π
New York is no stranger to omakase, but this one has truly won my heart! π π£ Sushi Makoto - Omakase π 208 W 14th St, New York, NY 10011 π° 15 courses for $120 The chef selects the menu daily based on the quality of the fish air-freighted in every morning. The highlight? Each fish comes with a detailed introduction, all neatly compiled into a little booklet. After dining at so many places, this is the first time Iβve truly understood what Iβm eating! π π The wasabi is freshly ground by the chef from the root itself! I had no idea wasabi looked like that. πΏ π And the sake is poured so generously it overflows! The sake in the box can be poured back into the cup for another half glass! I ordered a Hitakami Yasuke and a Shichida Ginjo. Sake lovers rejoice~ Sake and sashimi are such a perfect match! πΆ π Thereβs even a nameplate with the reservation holderβs name, handwritten on the table. π The dayβs selection included tuna, uni, and sweet shrimp, among others. The ones that truly impressed me were Kisu, Kamasu, and Saba. β The ambiance is minimalist and elegant in a Japanese style, and the service is exceptional. β There are also tables available, so even if youβre not doing the omakase, you can come and hang out with friends. #NewYorkFood #NewYorkLife π½π
