3οΈβ£ Braised Pork Belly $19 πππππ This is the Vietnamese version of red-braised pork. It comes with white rice and Vietnamese pickles (sweet and sour radish sticks). Pork belly is definitely best with riceβit's so fragrant! The pork is rich in flavor but not greasy, seasoned with black pepper and fish sauce. The pickles are especially refreshing. (On a side note: The braised pork at Chi/ in Manhattan is also super delicious!) 4οΈβ£ Butter and Garlic Clams $27 ππππ They have several clam dishes, and this one is the oily and fragrant version. It includes garlic, butter, Vietnamese cilantro, and fish sauce. It comes with Banh Mi bread for dipping in the sauce. If you dip too much, it can be a bit greasy, but the clams themselves are really delicious, very flavorful and fresh! 5οΈβ£ Fried Chicken Wings $13 for 4 wings, $19 for 8 wings ππππ The Vietnamese fried chicken wings come with garlic butter and fish sauce, and they're topped with green onions and cilantro. I suddenly realized that the oiliness of the chicken wings pairs really well with cilantro. The combination of sour, sweet, and fresh flavors is not greasy at all and very tasty! Em Vietnamese Bistro feels like a homestyle Vietnamese restaurant. The entire meal is super comforting! The dishes are fragrant but not greasy. The service and ambiance are both great, and the prices are reasonable. It's perfect for friends to gather and order a few dishes together! π Em Vietnamese Bistro, 57 Front St, Brooklyn, NY 11201 #WhatMyDinnerLookedLike #HiddenGemRestaurant π
