New York | A Cozy Bistro for a Break After a Long Day in Central Park

Nestled in the Upper West Side, French American Bistro is close to Central Park and Lincoln Center. It’s chic yet down-to-earth. Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail 🍤 The jumbo shrimp were a bit disappointing. The frozen texture was quite strong, and there were only four pieces. The large plate filled mostly with ice seemed a bit of an overkill... Fish and Chips 🐟🍟 Fresh off the grill, still steaming hot. The lemon juice sprinkled on the fried fish fillet added a refreshing tang, making each bite crispy, fresh, and hot! Spinach & Ricotta Tortelloni 🥬🥟🧀 The tortelloni were quite good. The spinach filling was smooth, and the Ricotta cheese flavor was rich and satisfying. Caramelized Banana Pudding 🍌🍮 Standard American sweetness. The banana slices were caramelized, creating a dense and sweet dessert that could soothe the fatigue from a long afternoon of walking. The waiter was incredibly enthusiastic, with a smile that lit up the room. It was like hitting the jackpot! 😌 His cheerful demeanor left a lasting impression. After all, it’s rare to encounter such a warm and delightful server in New York. 🙈 After the meal, they gifted us a piece of homemade dark chocolate with an artistic design. The packaging’s design changes periodically, showing great creativity. 🎨 Last month, this place was featured in the New York Times’ 25 of Our Readers’ Favorite New York City Restaurants. With over 40 years of history, it’s a warm and cherished spot for locals and neighbors. ✨ 📍 Cafe Luxembourg #NYCTravel #NYCLife #NYCExploration #NYCFoodie #NYCFoodGuide #NYCEatDrinkPlay #NYCPopularRestaurants #NYCHiddenGems #NYCCentralPark #NYCLincolnCenter #100RestaurantsChallenge
