New York | A Delightful Spanish Tapas Sister Bar (1)
After falling in love with Txikito (Spanish tapas), I ventured to Brooklyn to try its sister restaurant, Saint Julivert (a Spanish-Japanese fusion seafood bar). I personally prefer the style of Txikito. 🍽️✨ Both restaurants are incredibly easy to book; you can usually get a table on the same day, which is quite rare in New York! 🌟 Txikito 🌟 PULPO: Thinly sliced octopus that’s tender and chewy, paired with the unique aroma of olive oil. This is a must-order dish! 🦑 🌟 MATRIMONIO: I wasn’t a fan of this one. The asparagus was overpowering, and the fish roe had a strong, fishy taste. Even changing to white asparagus didn’t help; the truffle foam only made it worse. The flavors just didn’t blend well. 🥦 🌟 ARROZ MELOSO: The signature risotto is amazing! Rich with the flavors of sea urchin butter, sweet red shrimp, and creamy mushrooms. It’s a perfect blend of flavors that leaves you speechless (reminds me of a rich shrimp porridge). 🍛 🌟 MORROS: The beef cheeks are stewed until they’re incredibly tender, with a surprising crispy exterior that elevates the dish. It’s even better than the risotto! 🍖 🌟 GASTA PASTELA: A delicious dish that meets the standard of a good Spanish restaurant. 🥧 #NYCEats #SpanishTapas #BrooklynEats 🌆🌟
