📍 Aquavit NYC 🌟This meal was a birthday celebration for my best friend of ten years! After much deliberation, we settled on this Michelin two-star Nordic restaurant, and I’m thrilled to say that both the dishes and the service exceeded our expectations. (The latest Michelin Guide just came out, and they’ve kept their stars—proof of their consistent quality!) 🌟 Scallop & King Crab Skagen I’ve always had a soft spot for scallops—the plumper, the better! 🦪 The addition of caramelized onions and bacon bits really enriched the texture, and it completely blew me away. 🍃The king crab was equally impressive, with not a hint of fishiness. It was a perfect start to our meal! 🌟 Wagyu Short Rib & King Salmon 🌟The salmon was cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I was so impressed that I almost wanted to learn their secret recipe on the spot! However, finishing the whole piece was a bit too rich. The Wagyu short rib had a slightly tangy flavor, which was unusual but not unenjoyable. It just goes to show that even Nordic restaurants can surprise you with their take on Japanese beef. 🍖 🎢 Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience that left us both feeling very satisfied.
