New York | Albany & Lake Placid Fall Foliage Trip

🚗 Saturday : Picked up the rental car at Hertz in LGA early in the morning. Originally booked a C4 Polestar 2 (the cheapest option), but was told there were no electric vehicles available. The parking lot was almost empty, and there were no options for PC Selection. Ended up with a VW Taos and didn’t bother arguing with the staff. 🍚 Albany Food: Tried a highly recommended Northeastern Chinese restaurant in Albany. Ordered beef noodles, lamb with scallions, and braised pork with cabbage and frozen tofu. 🏨 Accommodation: Stayed at the Albany Renaissance, a AAA Four Diamond hotel. As a Marriott Platinum member, got upgraded to a corner room—spacious and comfortable. The lounge was closed for the weekend, so they provided a $30 voucher for the restaurant downstairs. Due to holiday understaffing, service was slow, but the food was decent. 🏛️ Sightseeing: The next day, explored downtown Albany briefly, visiting the New York State Capitol and Albany City Hall.
