New York | Finally Found the Ultimate Seasoned-Fried Chicken 🍗✨
I’ve got a new fried-chlove—temporarily saying bye-bye to Pelicana, Bonchon & BBQ Chicken 🙏. Most K-chicken in Manhattan swims in sticky sauce; I’m a “dry-crispy-separate” person, so I crave snow-cheese or seaweed-chili-dust styles. 🎢🍃 Scrolled past Boongs Korean Street Food on IG: an entire WALL of instant noodles + a convenience-store noodle cooker—boom, teleported to Seoul 🇰🇷. Tteok-bok-ki & pork-veg fried dumplings are safe home-style picks, but the show-stoppers: 🍗 Spicy Snow Fried Chicken Tastes like it’s rolled in nori-flavored BBQ dry-rub—mild heat, zero choke, pure addiction. Roof-of-mouth almost blistered = still worth it. Korean salty-chip brands wish they had this flavor. One order and you’ll know. 🍟 Bulgogi Sour-Cream Fries Cheese fries? Meh. Bulgogi gravy? Okay. Add cool sour cream? Genius move. I actually got full on fries—didn’t see that coming 😍. Birds are double-fried to order; no heat-lamps spotted, so wait a few mins and receive them nuclear-hot ♨️. 🎢🍃Bonus: retro powdered milk tea—must be taro-artificial to hit right, sweet & thick like 2005 mall memories 🧋. Bonus-bonus: the shop is hopelessly romantic. Neon signs make passers-by stop for selfies; logo designed by the owner herself—cute & heartfelt 🥰. Street-food vibe, zero cheap feel. 📍 Boongs Korean Fried Chicken #NYCFoodie #NYCExplorers 🌊🌸
